Duplicant Checkpoint is an Automation building. It is used to control the movement of Duplicants. It must be connected to an Automation Wire to be used.
Duplicants will continue to pick errands beyond the duplicant checkpoint even if it is deactivated by a signal. The duplicants will then wait beside the checkpoint until allowed to pass through. This behavior differs from what can be observed with locked doors - where duplicants will regard errands outside as inaccessible.
Also unlike doors, checkpoints only control movement in one direction.
Usage
- Checkpoints combined with Weight Plate or Duplicant Motion Sensor might be used to form queues to Sinks, Ore Scrubbers and similar buildings, ensuring that no one skips past them.
- A simple setup combining a Checkpoint with a single trigger will not form a queue. When the Checkpoint is disabled, all passing Duplicants will stop and stand in the same spot, and then a single Enable signal, even a brief 1 second signal, will allow all gathered Duplicants to pass through at the same time.
