Flydo
Picks up Solid objects for delivery to selected destinations.
Flydo is a flying robot that can be crafted at the Soldering Station for 200 kg of plastic or plastium.
It's powered by one Power Bank of any type. When crafted, you'll need to indicate which type of power bank is allowed for this robot to use.
It has a charge of 120 kJ. Using 50 W, it has a lifetime of 4 cycles.
Like critters, Flydo drowns if submerged in substanial liquids. Additionally, this is lethal as it causes Flydo to lose their navigation.
Flydo can move through 1 tile high passages. However, they need 2 tiles to pick objects up as it is required for them to be directly overhead.
Capacities
It can carry up to 400kg of materials around for Storage and Supply tasks.
It can pick up and empty bottles/canisters. These can be used for supplying/storing errands like the Ice Maker or the Bottle Drainer. This does not include bottles from a Bottle Filler or Pitcher Pump.
Behavior
They'll do their tasks following the priority order of the tasks like any other duplicant.
When its power bank runs low (around 24%), a supply errand is generated to supply it with more. Note it cannot fulfill this errand itself and requires another Flydo, a duplicant, or an Auto-Sweeper to perform this task.
Supplying Flydo with an Atomic Power Bank will keep it powered for the full 150 cycles. When the lifetime of the Atomic Power Bank ends, the Flydo is destroyed.
Notes
- It can open doors and obeys access restrictions set for it.
- It will supply the materials to all the tiles to craft, whether they are dupe-accessible or not (as they fly). This speeds up the building process as duplicants will only supply materials to tiles they have access to.
- Flydo can get germs on it, for example by being fed with a power bank with food poisoning germs. Germs will die rapidly in Flydo but during the time they exist, they'll spread like any normal duplicant doing its tasks.
- Its presence triggers Duplicant Motion Sensors.
