Fossil is a Mineral that can be found at the bottom of the map in the Oil Biome in moderate quantities and in small amounts in the Ocean Biome. It can be used as a general construction material.

Usage

Although general buildings can be made out of Fossil, its main purpose is to be used in the Rock Crusher to convert into Lime.pngLime Magma.png for Steel.pngSteel Molten Steel.png production as an alternative to Egg Shells. Unlike most other items used in the Rock Crusher, Fossils do not break down into Sand.pngSand Molten Glass.png; instead, they produce Lime and Sedimentary Rock.pngSedimentary Rock Magma.png.

5 kg Lime.pngLime Magma.png + 95 kg Sedimentary Rock.pngSedimentary Rock Magma.png = 100 kg FossilFossil

Production

  • Fossil is available in the Oil Biome and, in lesser quantities, the Ocean Biome.
  • The Ancient Specimen story trait produces Fossil from Diamond.pngDiamond Liquid Carbon.png in a 1:100 ratio (1 kg Diamond = 100 kg Fossil), once the story trait is completed.
    • The Fossil Fragments which generate near the points of interest for the Ancient Specimen story trait can be excavated, producing 1500 - 2000 kg of Fossil each (depending on size).
