Liquid Bridge
Can be run through wall and floor tile.
Output: Liquid Output
Liquid Bridge is used to avoid two separate liquid pipelines from touching so they do not mix their liquids. Liquid must flow from input to output. The input should connect through pipes to a liquid source like a pump, and the output should connect to buildings that consume or release the liquid, like Liquid Vents.
The Liquid Bridge does not hold liquid in it at all, but instead "teleports" liquid from its input to its output as long as there is liquid under its input, and there is either no liquid, or a liquid of the same type under its output. If liquid under the output is of the same type as liquid under the input, the bridge will "stack" the liquid from the input until the packet is a full 10kg.
Usage
Liquid can flow only in one direction through this, white to green.
Tips
- Use the O key to rotate the bridge before placing it.
- If you're not sure of direction look for the arrow on the center of the Bridge.
- The Liquid Bridge will not leak when the bridge is deconstructed.
- Liquid does not exchange heat with the bridge it flows through, but the bridge itself can transfer heat from the environment, so insulating materials should be used when placing a bridge across the walls of, say, a steam chamber.
- There are several Tricks that are possible with Liquid Bridges:
- If another output pipe is connected at the Bridge's input, the liquid will exclusively flow through the Bridge until its output is full. This is unlike the normal branching where it's split 50/50.
- Conversely, if another input pipe is connected at the Bridge's output, the liquid from the Bridge will be blocked until the other input pipe is empty.
