Metal Tile
Significantly increases Duplicant runspeed.
Metal Tile is a type of tile that is constructed from Refined Metal. Metal tiles provide a +50% runspeed bonus to Duplicants moving across them.
Usage
Metal tile prevent liquids and gases from moving through them.
Metal tiles have the second highest Decor value of any tile (second to Carpeted Tile) and apply their Decor over 3 tiles. Metal tiles, particularly those made of Gold or Niobium, can be used to boost decor without taking up space inside a room.
Shove Vole can not dig through refined metals. Stables containing Shove Voles can use Metal Tiles to prevent them from escaping.
Due to refined metals having a high thermal conductivity, metal tiles can be used to conduct heat. Out of the list of refined metals, metal tiles made from Tungsten have the highest melting point and metal tiles made from Thermium have the highest thermal conductivity.
Tiles made from Niobium, Steel, Thermium, or Tungsten will not melt if exposed to magma. This makes them useful for dealing with Volcanoes.
