Rock Crusher
Duplicants will not fabricate items unless recipes are queued.
Red: Disable
The Rock Crusher is a Refinement Building. It turns Raw Minerals and Metal Ores into Sand and inefficiently produces Refined Metal.
Mechanics
The Rock Crusher consumes 240 W of Power and requires Duplicant operation. It refines materials 100 kg at a time. 50 kg of material gets turned into Sand and 50 kg to the corresponding Refined Metal.
One operating cycle takes 40 seconds, reduced by the Duplicants Machinery attribute. If permanently fed with Raw Minerals and operated by an unskilled dupe, one Rock Crusher can feed 2.5 permanently operating Water Sieves with sand.

Temperature
Rock crushers do not exchange heat with their contents, but the contents are not insulated from the environment, unlike the Metal Refinery. The output material is produced at the same temperature as the input.
All other products are dropped as solid debris by default, which can immediately melt if the input is too hot. For example, when crushing Aluminum Ore at above 663.3 °C1225.94 °F, instead of forming a bottle, the Aluminum output immediately turns into a puddle of Molten Aluminum, which can exchange heat directly with the Rock Crusher itself.
Note that when crushing Cinnabar Ore to produce Mercury, the output would be bottled by default. If the input is colder than -41.85 °C-43.33 °F, the output forms a natural tile of Solid Mercury, entombing the Rock Crusher, and the tile can melt into a puddle of liquid Mercury if the Rock Crusher or the surroundings is warm enough.
Cell of Interest
Delivery, Duplicant interaction, and drop off are all at the 2nd tile from the bottom left[1]. Duplicant operation animation is misleading.
