Smart Storage Bin is a building that can store 20 tons (20,000 kilograms) of material. Unlike regular Storage Bins, they can output Automation signals when powered.

The default storage capacity is 20 tons (same as the regular Storage Bin) and can be manually set to a smaller number by player.

Tips

• Can be used to automatically stop production when full. But since this building permanently draws 60 W of power, it may be a better option to use a Weight Plate on a buildings output. This allows only a limit of 2 kg, but extending it with a Auto-Sweeper which instantly fills an Storage Bin will allow higher limits. This only works properly if there are no other Storage Bins which accept the produced material because otherwise the weight plate will get sweeped by Duplicants.
