Sunburn

Sunburn is a disease caused by prolonged exposure to light brighter than 72000 Lux. Once contracted, it takes 1.5 cycles to recover. The effect is a 20%/cycle increase in stress for the duration, as well as the duplicant pausing every 3-5 seconds to emote about their affliction. This temporarily interrupts any work task action they were taking. This occurs even in Transit Tubes, with the duplicant abruptly halting in the middle of the tube to emote, then just as suddenly resuming their journey. This regular interruption makes them substantially less efficient at working and commuting around for the duration of the effect.

It has a weaker preceding status, "Intensely Bright", that provides a 5%/cycle decrease in stress. After 120 seconds of exposure, this status is replaced with Sunburn.

It may be caused by other sources of light besides the sun, if they are sufficiently bright. [[zh:晒伤]
