Hi Yms444, Not sure how to respond back to your edit other than to create this talk page. Apologies for the steam turbine edit - I was looking in Power in the 'Buildings' help screen, and the first thing that comes up is "[Deprecated] Steam Turbine" - I didn't see that there was another entry farther below. Honest mistake, thanks for the correction. Garthmaul2020 (talk) 21:20, 22 January 2020 (UTC) GarthMaul2020

Hi Garthmaul2020. I didn't know such an entry exists (and as I'm not at my PC right now I can't check either), but yes, the Steam Turbine was completely reworked in Versions/QLM3-326232, the last major update before launch, so it's completely plausible that there is a separate, deprecated version of it somewhere. Sorry about the confusion. However, our one article about the Steam Turbine has been updated accordingly back than, so this one really refers to the current, non-deprecated version. --Yms444 (talk) 06:59, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

Printing Pod

"don't collapse the table, because why would you want to hide it from the readers?" Unless the reader is specifically looking for care package information, why does the page have to be dominated by an massive uncollapsable table? Forcing information a player is not looking for onto them is not what a good wiki does. Your references did not function as intended (wouldn't show on page) so I just said "Some items will not be offered as care packages until discovered." Have a nice day. Hi Ruxilus. I don't know what you mean by my references not working as intended. I did not add any references, I removed the footnotes in favor of the new columns. For the collapsed table, I beg to differ. Why should an article have content that is hidden by default and will probably be missed by most readers? What's the harm a visible table does? If you're not interested in it (and instead looking for the Lore section, which now dominates the article), just scroll down and you're good. That said, of course your solution with moving that content to an own page is a viable solution either way. Have a nice day yourself. --Yms444 (talk) 07:05, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
Oh there was reference/ tag in the code and the references only showed under visual editing. I removed the tag and it killed the ghosts.
Were it not so large of a table, I would definitely prefer to leave it in place as well. The table uncollapsed created a massive break between the info on the top and bottom of the page. Readers looking for information on the Printing Pod but not specifically for Care Package information would be exposed to it, whether they want to see it or not. They might look at it and assimilate some of its information because it is there. In that moment you may have ruined their "OMG, you can get a snazzy suit from the Pod?!?" moment of joyful wonder. There is the harm. It is that small moment of joy that I hope to preserve by not over-exposing information unnecessarily.
No, I am not trying to hide information from readers, only to provide what they are actually seeking. I have made the list link much more prominent than what used to be just a small and easily missed Expand link, which did conceal it well.
Thanks for responding and I hope you have another wonderful day. Ruxilus (talk) 19:53, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
