Temporal Tear

The Temporal Tear is the farthest destination on the Starmap. It serves as the ending of Oxygen Not Included, with both the DLC and the main game included. In lore, it is a gateway to an alternate timeline or universe, which is hopefully a paradise. This is never confirmed. The duplicants and rocket sent to the Temporal Tear will never return to the colony. Once a rocket has breached the temporal tear, the achievement of "The Great Escape" will be earned.

In the Spaced Out DLC, the Temporal Tear can be opened, with the Temporal Tear Opener, located on the frozen planetoid. Once open, the Tear will cause meteor showers once a cycle on the frozen planetoid, until you save and reload the game.

In the Spaced Out! DLC, if you send a duplicant through the Temporal Tear in a Rocket, you will see a cutscene (Similar to the Spaced Out! Short) before being given a view (centered on your Printing Pods) of each colonized Planetoid, followed by a Pop-Up with [[]]
