The Water Asteroid is a small planetoid, consisting of the Aquatic biome, a large water-filled biome dotted with small islands, covering almost the whole map, with solid core. It is a good source of Lime and Graphite, and often contains a small Oxylite deposit that aids in the initial base setup.

The main hazard of the asteroid is the high water pressure, which will easily crush thin tiles made of Sandstone or Sedimentary Rock, which are the main building materials available on the asteroid.

Strategy

The main challenge on this map is the literal tons of water covering it, lack of metal ore and other building materials. The Aquatic biome is also too warm for most crops to grow (Except for Grubfruit and Waterweed)

Sending a Rover as a beachhead is a useful strategy for this map. Unlike most asteroids, the Rover can dig out most of the early areas that are made out of relatively weak Rock, and build a small base.

Airflow Tiles are good for building underwater as they do not break under pressure. See following YouTube video for proof:

Given that, the lack of ore on the map does present a challenge for early construction. Metal Ore will most likely need to be imported.

Another strategy involves pumping the water up to the Vacuum at the top of the map, where it will vanish.
