Sedimentary Rock is a Mineral found in modest amounts in Swamp Biome and Tide Pool Biome. It can be used as a general construction material. Sedimentary Rock as food for Hatches increases the chance to produce a Stone Hatch Egg.

Usage

  • Sedimentary rock lacks unique or exceptional characteristics regarding decor and thermal properties, and has a modest availability. It can be used in construction, but is superseded by most other minerals/materials for specific applications, and is not particularly abundant. It is best utilized for building simple structures such as ladders or tile near where it is excavated (preserving more valuable minerals and saving duplicant time).
  • Hatches and Stone Hatches can eat Sedimentary Rock and excrete Coal.pngCoal Refined Carbon.png. It will increase the chance of laying Stone Hatch eggs.
  • Rock Crusher can produce Sand.pngSand Molten Glass.png from Sedimentary Rock. 100 kg Sedimentary Rock = 100 kg Sand.

Production

  • Rock Crusher can produce Sedimentary Rock from Fossil.pngFossil Magma.png. 100 kg Fossil = 5 kg Lime.pngLime Magma.png + 95 kg Sedimentary Rock.
  • This content was added in Spaced Out It can be harvested on rocket missions to renewable Space POIs:
    • In Rocky Asteroid Fields at a rate of 216 – 648 kg per cycle.
    • In Gilded Asteroid Fields at a rate of 135 – 405 kg per cycle.
