Interstellar Ice is a space destination with a distance of 30,000 km. It is composed entirely of Solid elements with no Gases or Liquids, though all of the elements are either gas or liquid at standard temperature.

Utilization

The Interstellar Ice is a renewable source of Water, Oxygen, Methane and Carbon Dioxide, which are stored in the Cargo Bay. Aside from coming up as a rare choice in the Printing Pod (one seed), it is also the only renewable source of Wort Seeds, which can be gathered along with Sleet Wheat Grains in a Biological Cargo Bay. The most efficient Rocket configuration for missions to the Ice Planet consists of 5 cargo modules and 3 Liquid Fuel Tanks, and is capable of returning 1.852 kilograms of cargo for each kilogram of Petroleum fuel.

Tips

  • The Methane acquired from a mission can provide much more power than the Petroleum required to fuel the rocket would, 4 times as much on average assuming optimal rocket configuration.
  • Carbon Dioxide acquired from the Ice Planet can be fed to Slicksters or Molten Slicksters to produce more Petroleum for rocket fuel. This is not sustainable, however.
