The Amber Fossil is a structure found in the Ancient Specimen story trait which can not be built. It can be demolished after excavating for no return.
Generation
The Amber Fossil generates inside a pentagonal geode together with one small Fossil Fragment and one Sporechid. This geode contains a mixture of Fossil, Algae, Slime, Dirt and Zombie Spore infested Water and Carbon Dioxide.
Strategy
You can use diagonal building/digging to uproot the Sporechid and place tiles to delete infected Gas/Water. In the Spaced Out DLC radiation (in Example from Wheezewort) can destroy the germs quickly.
