Petrified Fossil
The Petrified Fossil is a structure found in the Ancient Specimen story trait which can not be built. It can be demolished after excavating for no return.
Generation
The Petrified Fossil generates inside a circular geode with two layers. Magma at 1700°C surrounds the inner geode, which is mostly filled with Hydrogen Gas at 50 °C. Aside from the Fossil itself the inner geode contains one small Fossil Fragment, 2 Fossil tiles, 2 Diamond tiles and a Pincha Pepperplant.
The Magma in the outer ring often leaks heat into the sourrounding biome and cools down to Igneous Rock.
Strategy
If you haven't dug out the area and no crucial buildings nearby you can open the geode to let the heat drip into the surrounding natural tiles. Digging a natural tile destroys 50 % of its mass, which also destroys 50 % of its stored Heat energy.
Alternativly you can use diagonal building to destroy the magma or sieve the heat into a Steamroom with a Tempshift Plate.
