This is one of the three selectable starting planetoids for the Spaced Out! Style.

A large, polluted swamp world.
Swampy Asteriods are a great mass of frozen slush and wasteland. With a short distance to the surface, inner-world travel can be achieved quickly.

The Quagmiris Asteroid is a small starting asteriod with a Swampy Biome start. The starting area is surrounded by Wasteland, Jungle, Tundra and Barren Biomes with the Magma Biome at the bottom.

Selecting this planetoid to start on will also spawn a Rusty Oil Asteroid and an Irradiated Marsh Asteroid.

Strategy

Despite the flavour text the distance to the surface is the same on all three starting asteroids.

The Quagmiris Asteroid contains the Swampy starting biome, which is very messy, full of Mud and Polluted Mud, Polluted Dirt, Polluted Water, Swamp Chard plants, and some clean Water. It is rich in resources but they require refinement. It also contains the new Wasteland Biome, the Tundra Biome, and a hot Barren Biome with some free refined Iron.
The Quagmiris Asteroid contains no Meteor Shower,So that players can feel free to build in the Space Biome.

This is the DLC's unique start and there are several new Buildings designed to address it, such as the Sublimation Station and Sludge Press. The Swamp Start has a hard beginning but an easier mid-game because the Swamp Start's surroundings result in it slowly getting colder, not hotter as with the Terra Asteroid. The infinite water sources are both cold -- Cool Slush Geysers and Cool Salt Slush Geysers -- which can be harnessed with a Liquid Tepidizer instead of requiring plastic to build an Aquatuner-Steam Turbine combo. A Hydrogen Vent and Cool Steam Vent can also be found in the nearby Jungle Biome along with a drecko spawn for making exosuits.
