Liquid Pipe Germ Sensor is an automation sensor to detect the germ count in a Liquid Pipe.
It has a count threshold and can be configured as either below or above this threshold.
It is useful for keeping contaminated water separated from your clean water.
If the pipe segment is empty, the sensor retains the previous value.
Sensor will perform while entombed or submerged.
Tips
- The germs in liquid pipes cannot be killed by surrounding Chlorine gas or Radiation. Therefore you cannot simply put a Liquid Pipe Germ Sensor on the output pipe of a Liquid Reservoir surrounded by Chlorine and configure it as below 1 germ. The germs in that segment will never be killed and the sensor would always send a Red signal. Those segments have to be constantly recirculated to work properly.
- Note that contaminated water is not the same as polluted water. Contaminated water contains germs and may be polluted. Polluted water might not be contaminated.
- Melting this sensor will result in 75kg of Refined Metal, effectively converting 50kg of Plastic into 50kg of Refined Metal.
