Oil Biome is a hot Biome with Crude Oil. It appears on all asteroid types. It is generally found in deeper areas.

Diamond and Iron Ore in Oil Biome are spawned by terrain features, and not guaranteed otherwise.
Petroleum and Sour Gas may naturally appear at the bottom of Oil Biome due to high temperatures.
Crude oil is often under pressure and can eventually break some thin natural tile borders between pockets.

A Crude Oil pond surrounded by Igneous Rock, Granite and Lead.
Diamond Deposit
A Diamond deposit surrounded by Iron Ore and Igneous Rock.

Variants
Patch variant
Patch variant has less Crude Oil than base version. Patch variant has Oil Well feature and Small Diamond Deposit feature.
Oil Well
A Crude Oil lake with an Oil Reservoir, surrounded by Carbon Dioxide, Igneous Rock and Granite.
Small Diamond Deposit
Similar to Diamond Deposit feature but smaller in size.
Patch Double variant
Patch Double variant is same with Patch variant except that it has two Oil Well features.
Dry variant
Dry variant does not have Crude Oil.
It has Small Diamond Deposit feature.
Frozen variant
In Frozen variant, Crude Oil is frozen into Solid Crude Oil.
Frozen variant has Frozen Crude Oil Pond feature and Diamond Deposit feature.
