The Small Solid Oxidizer Tank holds 450 kg of solid Oxidizer, either Oxylite or Fertilizer.
Oxylite has twice the efficiency of Fertilizer, meaning twice as much mass is needed when using Fertilizer;
- Each kg of fuel requires 1kg of Fertilizer, but only 0.5kg of Oxylite.
- Therefore, 900kg of fuel (eg. Petroleum) requires 900kg of Fertilizer, but only 450kg of Oxylite.
- Oxylite stored inside the tank will not offgas.
It is always preferable to use 2 Small Solid Oxidizer Tanks instead of a Large Solid Oxidizer Tank since it will carry the same 900kg of Oxidizer while using just 4 tiles (1 less) and 4 burden (1 less) versus the large tank.
