Fertilizer is an Agriculture Resource. It is found in the Temperate Biome, in tiles of 50 kg around Water.pngWater Steam.png Ice.png.

Properties

Fertilizer is a very soft material, having a hardness of 2. At 125 °C it melts into Resource Dirt.pngDirt Sand.png.

Usage

  • Duplicants with Crop Tending Skill can use Fertilizer to increase Plants growth rate in Farm Station.
  • Sage Hatch can eat up to 140 kg of Fertilizer per cycle and excrete Coal.pngCoal Refined Carbon.png with a 1:1 ratio.
  • This content was added in Spaced Out Fertilizer can be used as solid oxidizer for rockets. Although its efficiency is the least among oxidizers, Fertilizer is far easier to handle than the others.
  • However, rockets can consume hundreds of kilos of it on just one trip; those hundreds of kilos could have been used for farms across many cycles.

Production

Fertilizer Synthesizer can produce Fertilizer from Polluted Water.pngPolluted Water Steam.png Resource Dirt.png Polluted Ice.png, Resource Dirt.pngDirt Sand.png and Phosphorite.pngPhosphorite Liquid Phosphorus.png. 39 g/s Polluted Water.pngPolluted Water Steam.png Resource Dirt.png Polluted Ice.png + 65 g/s Resource Dirt.pngDirt Sand.png + 26 g/s Phosphorite.pngPhosphorite Liquid Phosphorus.png = 120 g/s Fertilizer.png Fertilizer + 10 g/s Natural Gas.pngNatural Gas Liquid Methane.png.

Tips

Fertilizer increases plants growth rate by +100% for one cycle. It can be useful on plants with long growth cycles or high resource requirements for normal growth, as the resource requirement doesn't double.

Fertilizer has no effect on Mealwood.
