A hydro sensor can tell a pump to refill its basin as soon as it contains too little liquid.

Hydro Sensor compares liquid pressure at the same tile it is on to the set threshold. You can select whether it activates if it is above or below that threshold, meaning that, unlike most other sensors, it does not need a NOT Gate.
It must be submerged in liquid. It will not function properly in vacuum.
Tips
- Liquid Pumps will continue to consume the same amount of power while pumping less, unless they are temporarily disabled, so putting hydro sensor set to "above 10 kg" nearby will increase their power efficiency.
- It can prevent liquids from overflowing a reservoir by turning off liquid producing buildings, or turning on/off a Liquid Shutoff.
- Hydro sensors are helpful to prevent liquid overpressure or pump geyser-produced liquids only when during activity periods.
- Hydro sensors are useful as manual toggles, since they do not require Duplicant errands unlike alternatives.
