Hot Tub is used during downtime to improve a duplicants' morale. A dupe will spend 90 seconds (~4 schedule blocks) in the hot tub. Up to 4 dupes are able to use the Hot Tub at the same time. Despite being a recreational building, it does not need to be in a recreational room.

Hot tub consumes bleach stone and cycles water, expelling it when the temperature drops below 37.7 °C / 99.86 °F. Any other liquids will damage the building and spill out.

Tips

The Hot Tub requires precise water temperature input and produces a large amount of heat (5KTDU/s).
- Water must be kept heated (at least 37 °C / 98.6 °F) going into the Hot Tub but the surroundings must be cooled as the unit will not function if above 37.7 °C / 99.86 °F.
- Steel raises the overheat of the Hot Tub to 237.7 °C / 459.86 °F making it able to handle much hotter water. However while this prevents overheat damage, Duplicants will still not be allowed to use it if it is hotter than 37.7 °C / 99.86 °F so this is of dubious value.
- Heat exchange between the water in the hot tub and the Hot Tub is magical in nature and even defies thermodynamics: the water will keep cooling down to 37.7 °C / 99.86 °F even if the Hot Tub and environment is hotter than the water (functionally it is similar to the Refrigerator, it actively cools its contents). As such you don't have to be concerned low ambient temperatures increasing heat loss from the water.
