Production

This is produced by Experiment 52B when fed with calories, and if the angry tree is in an environment above 20°C. The Liquid Resin is expelled from the tree's tappings.

It is highly recommended to NOT use bottle emptiers, as the game mechanics do not always convert the liquid into the proper percentages (sometimes as low as 16%). Instead, use a liquid valve to split into packets of 1000g (1kg) - a mass level that prevents phase changes in liquids being piped - and have the packets pass through an area where it will pass its boiling temperature within the pipe. Upon dropping out of a vent, it will immediately convert its proper 25% mass into Isoresin.

Alternatively, the heating area and depositing spot can be a single Mesh Tile above a Tile, somewhere above a Volcanic Biome. The Liquid Resin will fall into the Mesh Tile; when the solid Isoresin is formed, it will automatically respawn on top of the Mesh Tile, thanks to game mechanics that are intended to prevent different solids from occurring within a tile.

Usage

Liquid Resin is used to produce Isoresin by melting and heating it up to 125°C. It gives 25% of its mass as Isoresin and 75% as steam.

Trivia

  • Liquid Resin is one of the few Resources that turn into multiple elements upon hitting their phase transition temperature.
  • It is also one of the few Resources that change its specific heat capacity upon phase transition. Dramatically from liquid resin's 1.1 (DTU/g)/°C to Steam's 4.179 (DTU/g)/°C, and to a lesser degree to Isoresin's 1.3 (DTU/g)/°C
