It can be harvested on rocket missions to renewable Space POIs:

• In Exploded Gas Giants at a rate of 45 – 120 kg per cycle, as a solid, liquid and gas.
• In Exploded Ice Giants at a rate of 27 – 81 kg per cycle, as a solid.
• In Oily Asteroid Fields at a rate of 17 – 56.5 kg per cycle, as a solid.

Bugs

As of build 353781, Solid Methane has type of Consumable Ore. It is not understood why Solid Methane has this type. Like other solid elements, its type should be Liquefiable instead.
